Archaeological evidence of Gallio who tried and judged St Paul as told in Acts 18:12.

These REAL Bible discoveries continue to pop out of the earth with staggering, amazing, mind blowing archaeological evidence proving the Bible.

Many of these Bible discoveries were discovered before our parents, or in some cases our grandparents were born, yet so many of us are still not aware of them, because they are kept silent or hidden out the way, and we do not always learn about them unless we seek and then we find, just as Jesus told us.

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Matthew 7:7. KJV.

Just as there was no evidence outside the Bible of the famous fifth governor of Roman Judea, Pontius Pilate, who was famous for the trial and crucifixion of Jesus in Matthew 27:2.

Until the Pilate stone inscription was discovered in 1961 with Pontius Pilate's name.

The Gallio Inscription.

We yet again have an archaeological discovery of a collection of nine fragments discovered in the 20th century at the Temple of Apollo in Delphi, Greece, (Image above) with a man named Gallio who tried and judged St Paul.
St Paul is well known for writing half of the new testament Bible as told in Acts 18:12.

And when Gallio was the deputy of Achaia, the Jews made insurrection with one accord against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat.

Claudius Caesar.

The archaeological evidence was written in 52 CE by the famous Roman emperor who was Claudius Caesar, as also told in the Holy Bible of Acts 11:28.

And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.

This archaeological discovery of a man named Gallio as told in Acts 18:12, and Claudius Caesar, as told in Acts 11:28, is again absolute proof both lived, who are recorded in the new testament and are historical records which establish the dates of St Paul as told, and confirmed in the book of Acts.

Archaeology certainly proves the Bible.

Delphi Inscription

The Delphi Inscription, or Gallio Inscription (IG, VII, 1676; SIG, II, 801d),^[1] is the name given to the collection of nine fragments of a letter written by the Roman emperor Claudius c. 52 CE and discovered early in the 20th century at the Temple of Apollo in Delphi, Greece.^[2]^[3]

The reconstructed inscription begins thus:

Tiber[ius Claudius Cae]sar Augustus Ge[rmanicus, invested with tribunician po]wer [for the 12th time, acclaimed Imperator for t]he 26th time, F[ather of the Fa]ther[land...]. For a l[ong time have I been not onl]y [well-disposed towards t]he ci[ty] of Delph[i, but also solicitous for its pro]sperity, and I have always guard[ed th]e cul[t of t]he [Pythian] Apol[lo. But] now [since] it is said to be desti[tu]te of [citi]zens, as [L. Jun]ius Gallio, my fri[end] an[d procon]sul, [recently reported to me, and being desirous that Delphi] should retain [inta]ct its for[mer rank, I] ord[er you (pl.) to in]vite well-born people also from [ot]her cities [to Delphi as new inhabitants....]^[4]

The reference to proconsul Gallio in the inscription provides an important marker for developing a chronology of the life of Apostle Paul by relating it to the trial of Paul in Achaea mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles (18:12-17).^[5]^[6]

Evidence confirms Jesus crucifixion outside the Bible:
The Babylonian Talmud.

I so often read people saying there is no evidence of Jesus, except what is written in the Bible.

Here is an example from one of many comment's left on my video.

JESUS NEVER EXISTED. JESUS WAS COPIED FROM MYTHS WHICH YOU WILL CALL MYTHS. THE SAME STORY WRITTEN 500 YEARS AFTER THE MYTH OF JESUS BEGAN TO BE MADE UP THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN.

The fact is.

When we seek with an open mind, and are interested in learning the truth, we discover the truth, as Jesus said we would in Matthew 7:7.

We also discover there is more evidence of Jesus life, death, and crucifixion, than any person who has ever lived.

There are literally 100's of references and testimonies from historian's and people not mentioned or connected to the Bible in anyway, who yet witness and confirm Jesus Christ in some way.

In my previous articles, we recently looked at just some of the many non-Christian confirmation's of the crucifixion and life of Jesus by Tacitus, and Thallus the historian, and many people outside the Bible, who confirm Christianity like Pliny The Younger, Suetonius, Emperor Trajan which we will read about next week, and now: The Babylonian Talmud we will briefly look at now.

In short, The Babylonian Talmud also has references to Jesus Christ by Jewish writers who did not follow Jesus, who in fact mostly hated Him and only wanted Jesus dead, hidden and out the way, including the evidence of Him, deleted.

Yet in this Babylonian Talmud with the Jewish laws and traditions, they write the opposite by supplying us with info of worthy attention and confirmation of Jesus Christ, as was written in the Gospels.

Let's look at some of them from the Wikipedia site.

Execution .

Scholars have identified passages that mention Jesus in the context of his execution:

The complete passage is: "On (Sabbath eve and) the eve of Passover Jesus the Nazarene was hanged and a herald went forth before him forty days heralding, 'Jesus the Nazarene is going forth to be stoned because he practiced sorcery and instigated and seduced Israel to idolatry. Whoever knows anything in defense may come and state it.' But since they did not find anything in his defense they hanged him on (Sabbath eve and) the eve of Passover. Ulla said: Do you suppose that Jesus the Nazarene was one for whom a defense could be made? He was a mesit (someone who instigated Israel to idolatry), concerning whom the Merciful [God]says: Show him no compassion and do not shield him (Deut. 13:9). With Jesus the Nazarene it was different. For he was close to the government."[66] [91]

In the Florence manuscript of the Talmud (1177 CE) an addition is made to Sanhedrin 43a saying that Yeshu was hanged on the eve of the Sabbath.[92]

As archaeology proves the Bible, ancient writings prove Jesus Christ outside the Bible.

Non-canonical, non biblical Greek writer: Lucian of Samosata, testifies Christians worship this man who was crucified.

We continue with non biblical writers outside the Bible who confirm the Bible.

Here we have another second century Greek writer:

Lucian of Samosata, born 125 - 180 AD.

Who makes some amazing statements regarding who Christians worship.

Lucian of Samosata is well documented in history and is believed to be the author of 70 ancient writings.

Lucian of Samosata confirms and states in his writings:

The Passing of Peregrinus or The Death of Peregrinus.

1. There are Christians.

2. The Christians worship a man in his day.

3. The Christians believe a man who they worship started Christianity.

4 The Christians believed and followed His teachings.

5. The person the Christians followed 'was' crucified.

6. The Christians believe they will live forever because of their faith in this crucified man.

7. The Christians do not worship any other God except this crucified man.

8. The Christians believed He was God.

8. The Christians have no care for material things because of their strong faith.

9. The Christians become brothers when they are converted.

10. He preached to the priests and scribes at Palestine which comprised the kingdoms of Israel and Judah.

11. Jesus performed miracles or sorcery.

Let's read Lucian Samosata actual writings.

"The Christians, you know, worship a man to this day—the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account. … You see, these misguided creatures start with the general conviction that they are immortal for all time, which explains their contempt of death and voluntary self-devotion which are so common among them; and then it was impressed on them by their original lawgiver that they are all brothers, from the moment that they are converted, and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws. All this they take quite on faith, with the result that they despise all worldly goods alike, regarding them merely as common property."

As we have read, we do not need to be a clever professor or scientist to understand Lucian of Samosata was referring to Jesus Christ of Nazareth, even though he does not confirm the person's name, who 'was' crucified.

Lucian clearly refer's to Christians who followed Jesus.

It was now that he came across the priests and scribes of the Christians, in Palestine, and picked up their queer creed. I can tell you, he pretty soon convinced them of his superiority; prophet, elder, ruler of the Synagogue--he was everything at once; expounded their books, commented on them, wrote books himself. They took him for a God, accepted his laws, and declared him their president. The Christians, you know, worship a man to this day,--the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account. Well, the end of it was that Proteus was arrested and thrown into prison.

This was the very thing to lend an air to his favourite arts of clap-trap and wonder-working; he was now a made man. The Christians took it all very seriously: he was no sooner in prison, than they began trying every means to get him out again,--but without success. Everything else that could be done for him they most devoutly did. They thought of nothing else. Orphans and ancient widows might be seen hanging about the prison from break of day. Their officials bribed the gaolers to let them sleep inside with him.
